Attorney Manning’s depth of knowledge, passion, and unrelenting work ethic have made him a fixture in courtrooms across Rhode Island southeastern Massachusetts and northeastern Connecticut, while earning the Law Office of Walter J. After competing for Northeastern University Track & Field on a full athletic scholarship and earning a bachelor’s degree in Finance & Insurance, Attorney Manning went on to receive his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) before putting himself through law school in the 1990’s. He worked for nearly ten years in a finance and merger and acquisition capacity for large local and international companies such as Cookson America, G-Tech, now known as International Game Technology PLC, Consumer Value Store (CVS), and Star Market.Attorney Manning then spent two years defending criminal cases in Providence County District and Superior Court in front of numerous judges and juries. He went on to start his own law practice in 2001. For the last 25 years, he has represented family law, criminal law, probate law and personal injury clients as the lead attorney at the Law Office of Walter J. Manning, 25 years of courtroom experience has earned Attorney Manning the respect of judges and attorneys at the top of the legal community. With this comes the confidence of a seasoned professional who understands that every case includes a moment when a client must choose: litigate or settle. In some cases, the client has time to carefully consider his or her options. In others, decisions must be made in a split-second, in open court and in the heat of the moment. Attorney Manning grew up in North Providence and Smithfield, Rhode Island and graduated from Bishop Hendricken High School as a 5 time All-Stater, 2 time All-American and State Record holder in the mile. He was captain of his team while competing in cross-country, track and basketball.He still holds several school records and has been inducted into his high school Athletic Hall of Fame. He accepted a full athletic scholarship to Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts were he went on to Captain his team to many New England Championships while setting a couple school records along the way. He was sponsored and ran for team Adidas, Nike and ultimately internationally with New Balance for Team USA in England. Attorney Manning currently lives in Narragansett, Rhode Island.
